System Engineer/administrator for transport management systems

Our team is responsible for the integration of our new air and sea freight system, which is used by several thousand Hellmann employees worldwide and interacts with partners and customers. We are a motivated, collegial team and work closely with specialist colleagues and other IT departments.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality for his/her own work
  • Keep deadlines
  • Keep everyday contact with team members (local and global)
  • Development of new ideas and solution approaches for the continuous improvement and automation of system operation using current technologies
  • Carrying out error and performance analysis to ensure stable operation of our transport management systems
  • Constant optimization, modernization and configuration of our systems
  • Assumption of 3rd level support and, if necessary, participation in our on-call team
  • Maintenance and expansion of the documentation and the operating manual
  • Exchange and coordination with our regional and global IT teams
  • Discover problems autonomously
  • Working place: Hungary, Budapest, sometimes abroad (client meeting)

Required technical know-how

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
  • Practical 3+ year experiences from IT projects
  • Knowledge of Windows system maintenance
  • Practical experience in the administration of Kubernetes, Rancher, Mesosphere or OpenShift environments as Infrastructure as Code
  • First experience with SQL databases, ELK and RabbitMQ is an advantage
  • Ideally experience in the operation of business-critical systems
  • Very high quality standards and an independent way of working
